THE SHRI HANS RAJ MAHARAJJI SACHA BABA SAMADHI MANDIR

MAHARAJJI'S SAMADHI MANDIR AT SACHA DHAM ASHRAM

The mandir in 2019

This mandir is situated in the Sacha Dham ashram in Laxman Jhula. It was formerly the reception room and bedroom of the Saint Shri Hans Raj Maharajji, and became a temple after he left his body in 2011. Here Aarti is held daily.

His disciples and visitors all remember when we would sit outside his room on his verandah to enjoy the strong, yet peaceful vibrations. Inside his room, the vibrations were even stronger and some could feel them in their hearts. While sitting with him inside, and receving his benedictions, very few were they who could imagine the formidable work he was doing at the same time, not just for disciples, but for the entire humanity.

Later on we learned that his main work was to turn humanity back to spirituality, to God:

Maharajji especially works on the cosmic planes on the level of the universal soul to reach the entire world. This is not a topic which he speaks about often. The circumstances must be right for this. On such an occasion, Maharajji one day told a very small number of disciples whom he was speaking to, My main work is in the universal soul for the good of humanity. That was in the 1980s.

About twenty years later, while he was sitting beside the Sacha Dham temple with some of his students in the invigorating sun one winter morning, he went into a very high state of consciousness called samadhi. He stayed in this state for a certain time, which seemed to last an eternity for these students. They, not being used to this state where the Master remained strangely calm and motionless as if all life had left him, were rather embarrassed, for they did not know what was happening. Some time later, when Maharajji came back to ordinary consciousness and read astonishment in their eyes and thoughts, he made sure to reassure them saying,

It is in this state of consciousness that one works for the entire humanity! There is nothing strange or dangerous about it because I will not leave this world until Sacha Baba tells me that my mission is over.” (1)

The Aarti Ritual performed by Pujari Ashokji

ShantiMayi has given us more details about this work :

Sacha Masters have poured a constant stream of light into consciousness, an uninterrupted and powerful prayer that has been (and is) the very heartbeat of the Lineage. They have dedicated their lives to this...no... they have come to this earth just for this purpose alone. Concentration on a forceful intention (sankulp) to bring enlightenment to all, has extended back into the deepest recesses of our beginnings, and is still playing out its influence upon us all at this very moment.

There is something more than wonderful in knowing that, nested at the foothills of the Himalayas...along the banks of the holy Ganges, is a small ashram. Inside that ashram in a central room, upon his choki (small wooden bed) lies a Great Master that has spent nearly his entire life in deep concentration on the universe of “beings”.

There, in his room, for many years, he has attended to the enlightenment of all beings. His only intention is to direct us back into our hearts so that the play of consciousness in the shape of divine wisdom will be realized by every soul. (2)

Although Saint Hans Raj Maharajji has left his body, the spiritual vibrations in the temple are still very strong and continue to radiate far and wide. From the higher planes he continues to inspire humanity away from materialism and towards spirituality and world peace. This new temple, along with the the older one – the Sacha Baba temple – anchors even more this great shift in consciousness called “Parivartan”, meaning the great spiritual reorientation.
